John Newman oversees 6 churches in Nkwanta and its surrounding villages, where there are more than 21,000 people (45% are idol worshippers and 25% are Muslims). He resigned his teaching job to become a full-time church planter. He has been married since 1986 and is blessed with 4 children.
The following is John's latest report from the mission field. Please join us in thanking God and asking for his continued work:
Thanksgiving
Thank God for the protection of my family throughout the month. We have all been healthy.
Thank God for providing for our needs. We have lacked nothing good from the Lord. He has granted us peace.
Thank God for all weekly activities going successfully. Sunday services, mid-week Bible studies, and prayer meetings.
The Nkwanta church had a half-night prayer meeting to intercede for others’ needs and our own needs.
Prayer Requests
Pray that God will continue to bless and protect my family.
Pray that we will have a pickup truck in Nkwanta for evangelism.
Pray that there will be more financial support to relieve us from our heavy financial burdens to have sound mind to work.
We will be having a crusade at Krontang from November 29 to December 1. Pray that souls will be won to plant a church.
